A design proposal for the Solar Decathlon 2020 Design Challenge (mixed-use, multifamily division) that interweaves the daily lives of the residents with a greenhouse that is powered by a closed-loop, renewable energy-based system.
How can we SUSTAIN a viable living and dwelling system with low energy? Through working in a team of architecture and engineering students, we developed a design that focuses on systems integration to achieve net-zero energy while meeting the goals of Pittsburgh’s Uptown Eco-Innovation District Plan.
